Project Achieve is an integrated TRIO/Student Support Services program dedicated to enhancing your college experience. Eligible students can access counseling; free professional tutoring in Sciences, English, Math, and Computer science/Office Systems; and multicultural events in a friendly, supportive atmosphere of people just like you - dedicated students who want to achieve their goals.
Project Achieve provides the tools to stay in college, assist students to graduate and to transfer to a four-year institution to pursue and successfully complete a bachelor's degree.
Are you Eligible?
According to U.S. Department of Education guidelines, you are eligible to participate in the TRiO/Student Support Services program if you are a U.S. citizen or meet the residency requirements for federal assistance, along with one or more of the following:
- First-generation college student (neither parent graduated from a four-year institution)
- Low-income (receive some form of financial aid or economically disadvantaged per U.S. Department of Education requirements)
- Document Disability (physical or learning)
- Currently enrolled at Joliet Junior College
If you are unsure if you are eligible for benefits within the program, we encourage you to come by our office (A-1115) or please make an appointment with the Academic Support Specialist by calling (815) 280-2456 or emailing us. Students must bring an estimate of the family's income to the appointment, for recording purposes.
